SMALL LOCAL BUSINESS, BIG NATIONAL RANKINGS

Systems Plus Computers excels in national rankings for IT service providers

LEBANON, NH, October 19, 2010 -- Systems Plus Computers (SPCI) has provided the Upper Valley with computing services for over 23 years.  Many know them as the go-to local computer service center for when you ever-so-gracefully dump that morning coffee right into your laptop.  What many might not know is that the IT team that sits behind the service desk in SPCI’s Lebanon store has slowly developed an IT powerhouse with the skills to stand out in national IT service provider rankings.

This year, SPCI was ranked in the top 5 percent of Lenovo’s and top 10 percent of Microsoft’s authorized service providers within the US.  To achieve these positions, the provider must meet and exceed key service and support requirements as evaluated by the vendor (Lenovo and Microsoft in these cases), achieve high ratings in customer satisfaction reports, and exhibit the ability to fix computing problems on their first visit to a customer site.

As a provider of IT services to local businesses, SPCI helps with server migrations, implementation plans for new hardware and software tools, and network setup.  They work with small companies as well as large ones like the Claremont School District, which has over 500 employees using their networks.

Where budgets are tight for all businesses these days, the reality and need for services that provide ‘first time fix’ with success is obvious.  The economy and competition being what they are, ratings like these speak to competencies that are essential to the success of both SPCI and also the clients they support.

The approach of blending high-quality service with a focus on supporting local businesses is one that Jake Blum, owner of SPCI, has focused on for many years.  In 2008 SPCI became a founding member of the Local First Alliance, an alliance managed by Vital Communities and comprised of local Upper Valley businesses that support the purchase of goods and services from local providers in order to support and maintain the economic health of the local community. “We believe in providing local services that are business-quality and that focus on strengthening our local business’ infrastructures, especially when so many of our clients rely upon their computing tools for every day functions,” says Blum.  SPCI’s successful ratings just go to show: even smaller businesses that focus on the local community around them can excel in larger national rankings.
